But I did notice in the giants vid that when that big tractor crosses the ditch into the road, the deformation looks very similar to how it behaves in the Dynasty series when going from soft terrain to hard terrain. The bit of it I saw in the field looks loads better than the dynasty series so there is that. Not many farming games attempt deformable terrain (looking at all the other examples its easy to understand why) and the bit I have seen puts fs miles ahead of those. Its not as pretty as snowrunner mud but it certainly doesn't seem like a strike out, especially as its their first time up to bat at this particular ballgame.
When tractors get slow down in the field due to softness, I wonder if the amount of power the tractor has or traction it has will make any kind of difference. Also makes me wonder about having a loaded semi full of grain in the field. Maybe it’s a good reason to keep it in the grass.

I'm going to go out on a limb an guess the deformation depth will be the same no matter the weight of the equipment.

We used to pull our ford daycab and wilson hopper straight onto the field when it was dry no problem. I hope the traction levels are not only dependent on vehicle weight and wheel type but how long its been since snow or rain.

That would be neat to see tho. I don’t think I want to be trying to combine at a mudrun level but if it rained a day ago, a little more sink would be ok. I sure those kind of mechanics are years away

it depends alot on soil structure . where i am wet have fen peaty soils that soak up rain like a sponge and stay firm until theres standing water . on our east theres clayey soil and that gets sticky and gluey with any real rain . i dont' expect Giansts will do all the different soil strcutures.

I don't know how console players are not fed up by the difference in mods between PC and console verisons of the game. If Giants were really looking after the community these well made mods like animal grazing would be integrated into a DLC or an Update for the current game. Animal grazing has been availiable since FS17 or FS19 on PC i think. I would be ashamed if i were a developer at Giants and this is all i had to show...some mods integrated into the new version...
It's nice to see someone happy for features PC players had for more than 5 years...

I have been a pc player for more than 5 years and I am excited. There were a ton of subtle changes from 19 to 22 that were never even mentioned. Things I easily noticed on my setup. I fully expect the same from 25. Some of us get so mad that the changes we wanted weren't added to the game that we don't notice all the work that was done and the across the board improvements. Sure, Giants has made some bonehead moves over the years but since I started playing, this game has come a ways and imo, just keeps getting better.
I'm not knocking others feelings, but I couldn't imagine continuing to play/buy a game that just causes me... pain? Is that what makes people act like this over a game? Did the devs hurt u? Show us on the teddy bear where the big bad devs touched u. Joking aside, why do people continue to buy a game from a dev they dont believe in? Every iteration, I hear from the same groups, "this is the last chance they get from me! If they don't add x,y or z I am never buying it again" and yet here we are again.. Am I missing something?

For me, i know i complain a lot about the game and the devs but thats because i've been with FS since 2009 and i've had maps printed on paper and the crop plan written on them back then. I think i still have those in a box somewhere. I just think the development of the game is going in a bad direction, a direction i don't understand, unless ALL they think about is money. And i wish this game would develop into a true farming simulator, not a factory, rollercoaster, boatbuilding simulator. The kind of farming simulator that real farmers would look at and go...yep that's what farming is. I won't compare it to other simulation games but i believe others have a much more clear vision that immersion and realism is the key, and because this is gaming, an easy mode if you will can be implemented and realism settings switched off. Like in those other simulation games i won't mention. I never said i'm not buying it...i'll just wait for a sale probably. Can't do without that daily FS dose after all.

Can clearly see the 9R with the cart in the videos from gamescom/pax make smaller imprints than the new Holland with planter. And soil softness is a thing, look at the JD combine versus the new Holland in soft soil. And time of year and where on the map makes a difference, that was said in farmcon english interview with influencers.
But they have been pretty clear all the time that there is a max depth, and that there will be no mud per say. Its tire marks similar to tire tracks, that is limited with memory and will be "painted over"/erased with other equipment.

You’re missing the creation of a monopoly on a genre similar to what EA has done. Starts out great then slowly turns into a slight improvement over the previous version. All the while being just good enough no one can squeeze in and they can hang on to their exclusive deals with brands that push competition out. Maybe it won’t turn out that way, hopefully not, but it’s eerily similar.

I wasn't aware of all that. If I'm wrong, I'll be the second to admit it, with you being the first.

Wow more nice features just announced:
3rd person view
I do not know how all these new features going to exactly work, but if they work better and look better than similar mods, what were on FS22, then Giants has made great job with FS25.
Animal grazing - should work like you can fence up any meadow and move animals there to eat grass.
3rd person view - mod was really bad, if Giants gets these movement animations right, that's a feature!
GPS and helper - if they really can automatically work on any field and equipment, then they are better than mods we had.
Ground deformation - fix visual bugs and if ground wetness, tire type and ground type will change how it works, then it is done well.
Tornado - if can be turned off and will not bother us too much, then good.
Weather effects - if they look realistic and affect farming then whey are done right.
